AAAAAAAA Wave – (Entry #1 Short Film of the Year Awards 2021)
Throughout 2020 and into 2021 the Nile has been running at high flows, and all sorts of wonderful paddling and waves have appeared for those who’ve been able to access it. After almost 10 months of mostly solo paddling, Kayak the Nile owner Sam Ward managed to get a friend with a camera and drone to come and capture a few surfs of this beautiful, enormous wave! It’s named AAAAAA because that’s the noise that Sam, Emily, and frankly everyone else who’s tried it, made the first time they dropped over the horizon.
