Toaroha canyon
For years kayakers portaged the infamous Toaroaha Canyon, on New Zealand’s wild West Coast, worried about the committing rapids it contained.
In 2012 a group of local paddlers pioneered the run. It has rapidly become the classic West Coast kayaking adventure.
