The Malabar River Festival 2015 proudly sponsored by Wildcraft and theDistrict Promotion Council of Kerala is all set to kick off tomorrow.
Participants from over 12 different countries are already at the venue and are training hard for the huge amount of prize money and gear that is at stake. World champions Sam Sutton and Joe Morley are arriving today and the race for the Rapid Rajah that comes with a grand prize of USD 1200 is going to get very interesting. Slalom World Cup winner Mike Dawson along with top UK kayakers Lee Royle, Rory Woods and Phil Mitchell are expected to put up a strong challenge. The race is wide open and it’s anybody’s guess about who is going to walk away with the crown and the ride on the elephant. It might all come down to who takes the freestyle competition on the 23rd July.
