Meadow Creek of the Gauley 3rd Descent
West Virginia continues to provide the goods as Shane Groves along with locals Josh Collins and Richard Perkins met up with Caleb Adams and crew to get the 3rd descent of Meadow Creek at high water. Entering the legendary Upper Gauley River right above Sweet’s Falls, Meadow Creek consists of bedrock slides and tight, technical boulder rapids. The creek was run twice in the mid 2000’s after being cleared of wood. But giant snow and wind storms left it, once again, chalked full of wood and took a good bit of cutting to regain this West Virginia Classic.
