Inside the 2021 Green Race #4 – The Contenders

Every year whitewater legend and Green Race local, Shane Benedict from Liquidlogic Kayaks covers the Green Race for us at Kayak Session Magazine.

Shane sat down with long time Green racer and now commentator on the Green Race livestream Brian Miller and talked about the Contenders for this 26th running of the Green River Narrows Race. The big stories for this year are the biggest junior and women’s classes to ever race and the hunt for the sub 4 minute Green race by Dane. Much like Roger Bannister’s accomplishment many people don’t think that it’s possible but in the world of extreme sports we all think it’s possible but is it really something that can happen this year. Shane and Brian sat down during the Pre- Green Race Party and hashed it out.
