Huge Water Levels for the Outdoor Mix (May 8/11 th – Durance Valley, France)
The incredible snow pack has already started to melt for the Outdoormix Festival 2014!
Since last week the French Alps are getting wet (rain + warm temperatures). The rivers are flooding and kayakers are traveling around with their van to get the best from what the area has to offer. Organizers are therefore very optimistic about the quality of the races for this second edition which open once again the AWP World Series 2014 season.
The great news for freestyle kayakers is that the organization is also hosting a freestyle competition on the brand new wave named “la Clapière” in Embrun, on the Durance River. This wave has been recently re-build by the Outdoormix team and actually makes a sick wave-hole. The big water levels that we observe today are turning the spot into a very fast wave. Freestyle competition on waves is back in France!
