High Water Kayaking in Turkey
Follow Bren Orton, Adrian Mattern and Mathias Deutche on a random, spontaneous trip to Turkey with surprisingly high water levels!
« We came to this region of Turkey last year and where blown away with it. At this time of year it is one of the few places that has good temperatures and good flows. Which makes it an ideal short winter break from mainland Europe or the UK. We had our hands full on a high water Korpucuy river before dropping into the Manavgat at high water the following day. After this point in our trip the levels slowly dropped throughout the week making it prime time for lapping the Manavgat. Which is exactly what we did, I’m grateful for every lap down this section it is amazing! »
