The Lost Futaleufu
Located in Argentina 45 km from Esquel, in the Larches national park, the Futaleufu dam was built between 1972 and 1976.This section that can be called the upper Futeleufu was barely navigated before; in March 2014 with a special permission and a water release from the dam management, a group of boaters managed to access the goods; and what they found is on par with what is below – a world class river stretch. (the classic sections of the Futeleufu is located in Chile…).
