Mathieu Dumoulin (France) Joins Jackson Kayaks
Another big name joins Jackson kayaks with the signing of French paddler Matt Dumoulin.
“I have been paddling with Jackson Kayak team members for a long time,” states Mathieu Dumoulin. “My style of playboating, especially in competition, has been evolving with JK team members like Nick, EJ and Dane who have styles of their own. The best moments in competition, recently, have been sitting in eddies and seeing how far our different styles will take us. I see the same passion for whitewater and performance in both team Jackson Kayak as well as their freestyle designs: Guiding all of us to the same goals.”
Mathieu’s role will be to develop and manage a growing European whitewater team. His nomination to the role as team manager comes on the heals of the signing of Nouria Newman, another French paddler, to their Team Jackson Kayak and bolsters an already solid European team that includes 2-time World Champion, Claire O’hara of the UK amongst others.
“Mat is one of the most impressive freestyle paddlers I have ever seen,” states Eric “EJ” Jackson, President of Jackson Kayaks, “with a style of his own. I am so excited that he is bringing, not only his personal kayaking skills, but his energy, enthusiasm, and knowledge (he just received his masters in business) to Jackson Kayak as our European Team manager. About Mathieu Dumoulin: Mathieu is a 9-time French National Champion, a 2-time European Champion and a constant contender on the World’s stage. He comes with both freestyle and creek boat experience that has seen him travel the globe in search of the perfect routine and the hardest rapids. Armed with a masters in Business Admin, Mathieu also comes to Jackson Kayak with a business sense and an ingrained business leadership skill set.
