The second day of the ICF freestyle World Cup in Millau was intense! While some categories did their qualification rounds in the morning, the day ended with some insane semi-finals. With the new ICF rules for freestyle, semi-finals had paddlers battling their place to finals with three rides, the best two counting. The Men’s semi-finals was particularly intense with some insane rides at sunset, the public cheering as hard as they could from the bank.

Outside the World Cup, cadets had the chance to train with some of the best paddlers in the world in the main feature, in view of their fun contest the next day. The local public was also welcome on the Tarn river for a Dragon Boat race in the evening.

With some concerts in the evening, an impromptu Big Air Contest for fun, some good food served on the site, and a little breeze to cool everyone after a long day in the sun, Millau showed again that ICF events are not limited to just competing, but also spending a good time altogether.
