Kayak in Afghanistan, Paddling in the Panjshir Valley – Ep.5 Save the Best for Last
In July 2016 Callum Strong, Kristof Stursa, James Smith and Joe Rea-Dickins traveled to the Panjshir Valley in Afghanistan; The Afghani guides and police were reluctant to let the team paddle down this section of whitewater that cut through a very conservative town in Panjshir; after ticking off the rest of the Panjshir River, the team finally convinced the authorities to let them go, and what they found was an epic rapid that went on for over 11 minutes!
