HIKO Devils Extreme Race 2020 is ON!

The legendary HIKO Devils Extreme Race (Czech Republic) is celebrating its 14th year already and even COVID-19 won’t stop it. This year’s event scheduled for August 28th – 30th 2020 promises great racing, lots of kayaking with special train shuttle and devilish parties as usual. So if you do not know what to the last week-end of August, consider a trip to Czech Republic and enjoy a real kayak festival weekend as you love it.
Racing events will be the same as in previous years. The qualifiers taking place through the rapid « Window » next to the Kilian Hotel. The 32 fastest kayakers will be qualified to kayak cross on the rapid « Stairs ». Racing day Saturday will end with the iconic Dam to Dam long race.
Thanks to the ZET kayaks there will be prize money for the fastest kayakers. But winning prizes at the Devils Race is not reserved for the fastest as organizers prepared a huge raffle for all athletes. The evening program will continue with kayak movies, arm wrestling contest, and concerts which this year definitely will be worth of coming. The bands that organizers have chosen for you at the 14th Devils Race give you energy at least for next ten years.
The Helltrain – a train equipped with a special wagon for the transport of kayaks – has been organized this year again and makes shuttling super easy. The train is available from Friday to Sunday; on Saturday almost every half hour, so no one has to wait too long.
Like every year the Vltava river will be busy and there will be more kayak events at the same time. Under the dam there will be the Slalom Czech Championships, Downriver races and Rafting competitions on Saturday and Sunday. So please respect ongoing races in all water sports disciplines.
