Initiated by a group of passionate waveski enthusiasts, « Take a Seat 2 » aims to thrust waveski into the limelight with a captivating cinematic experience. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Indonesia, this project is not just about showcasing waveski—it’s about redefining its place in the world of extreme sports.
« Back in 2017, we were really proud of the result for a free film made by a group of friends with very little budget; an awesome project called TAKE A SEAT, » reflects Pablo, one of the project’s driving forces. « It was huge for the Waveski and Kayaksurf world, but we didn’t break into the Canoe/Kayak world and surf world like we were hoping to back then. »
Undeterred, they return with a renewed determination to showcase waveski’s appeal to a wider audience.
Waveski isn’t just about adrenaline-pumping action; it’s a sport that embodies accessibility and fun. Rooted in the kayak tradition, it offers both thrills for seasoned athletes and a gateway to oceanic bliss for newcomers. With « Take a Seat 2, » the team plans to bridge the gap between waveski and other paddling disciplines, highlighting its versatility and allure.
Through high-quality production, compelling storytelling, and technical prowess, « Take a Seat 2 » seeks to captivate audiences and ignite a newfound appreciation for waveski. But they can’t do it alone. The team has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Ulule, inviting supporters to join them on this journey.
