River Running

In August of 2022, The Snack Pack spent 3 weeks exploring the rivers on the East Coast of Madagascar. Our primary objective for the trip was to paddle the Mangoro river putting in near the town of Moramanga and taking out 140 miles downstream at the Indian Ocean.

After a few multi days, we figured it was time to do a single day Stikine. Not only is there so much white water to pack in the one day, but getting to paddle an empty boat again is always so satisfying. By the third lap I was already so comfortable and even more fired up on the Stikine. It really is one of a kind and each lap it felt like it was getting better and better!

A lovely lap down the Mangakarengorengo River in the Kaimai hills. the Lettmann Machete is the perfect river runner boat at the moment and it felt super nice on the water. Was nice to be on a classic run and be back on the kaimai creeks. Cheers to Dylan and Mike for a good afternoon out.
