For decades, eastern Canada has had people from all over the world set their sights on its vast abundance of all types of white water. But there is one particular aspect that continues to bring in the world best paddlers; big waves. As the rivers rise in the spring melt, some of the best big waves in the world take form, each unique to itself. Nowhere else in the world has allowed freestyle kayaking on waves to progress like spring in eastern Canada, and this year was one of the best. Each year a small group of kayakers dedicate their time to chasing these waves. Those that started this dedication gave it a name, STAKEOUT.
