Resurface (Short Film Awards Entry #35)
« A film aimed to share my story of rebuilding my confidence on whitewater after a traumatic early experience that nearly ended my paddling journey for good. »
From fearing the reality of death to the resilience and patience needed to move onwards, Resurface uses voicemails Lucy left to go through emotions as she tries to find peace within the sport she loves, all whilst dealing with the physical and psychological challenges one must face along the way.
Lucy dedicates this short film to the incredible international community of paddlers who continue to support her as she musters the courage to get back to the river.
