Mid Mad Fest – August 28th, 2025

Celebrate the Madaoueskasibi on the Madawaska River with the Mid Mad Fest on August 28th!

The Mid Mad Fest is a celebration of the Madawaska River in Ontario, Canada, just two hours west of Ottawa. Rain or shine, it is a chance to paddle, eat, and dance with everyone.

Water will be released from 9 am to 4 pm, with shuttles running throughout the day to different sections (MKC to Dam, MKC to Bridge, Mud Bay to MKC). The day will include Madawaska Rafting, the Slalom Race at the Chalet (all boats welcome, including open canoe, SUP, kayak, anything), the Ball Race from the Bridge to Swimmer’s Rock, and Ich Bin Der Beste at Gravel Pit.

The day will conclude with the River Ceremony, the awards ceremony, and live music. Camping, food, and music will be hosted at the Madawaska Kanu Centre’s magical wilderness lodge.
