High water Vallecito Run (Colorado)
High snowpack in the San Juan Mountains had the rivers raging for a long while flushing avalanche debris down into the many drainages in the state. Our snowpack in Durango Colorado was legendary and many logs were sent down our rivers. We spent the weekend scoping one of our favorite creeks, Vallecito, and finding wood blocking any pathway down. So we got our ropes, climbing gear, and hand saws (wilderness area) and went in there to clean it up. After a lot of painful hours throughout the entire weekend, we cleaned it up and enjoyed a high water lap. Such good times!!!!!
