Short Film of the Year Awards 2025 – How to participate
HOW IT WORKS:
The top 10, as well as the overall winner, will be selected by the Editorial Team at Kayak Session. Short films will be judged on number of views, cinematography, editing, image quality, storytelling, creativity, and, of course, kayak performance.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
- Your film must be under 10 minutes long. (intro and closing screen NOT included).
- No sponsor logos
- When your movie is ready, send us the file via dropbox, wetransfer or such… Once your movie has been approved, we will put it up online (YouTube and Facebook).
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Important note: If your file is too big it will be hard to load and harder to score a lot of views. So try a good compromise between quality and viewing ease. It is also your responsibility to use music you have the right to).
The top 10 entries might be asked to send a higher resolution movie for big screen viewing. Contest organizers – Kayak Session Publishing – request the right to use, in full or in part, the movies entered for promotion purposes.
The winners will be announced at the end of December 2025/ early January 2025.
