Wintergreen Falls, NC
Considered the « grand finale » of the Toxaway River in NC, the river is hardly finished with you once you’re safe through Wintergreen. With it’s massive size, incredible speed, and out of control feel, it’s no wonder that it has such a fearsome reputation. Regardless, it’s just one rapid in a spectacular and remote gorge. This was my first time running it and I fell in love… such an incredible place!
