Exploring Michoacan, Mexico (Episode #2)
In November 2013, an international group of paddlers set out for a three-week exploratory expedition into one of Mexico’s wildest backcountries. Despite being plagued by drug war violence, the whitewater potential in Michoacan will have kayakers soon returning to La Tierra Caliente.
The group is faced with a dangerous river obstacle and decide the risk is too great to endanger their lives. It’s a hard choice after coming so far, but they’re also finding epic rivers that push their skills, and discovering the beauty of a culture and land that is completely foreign to them.
